As the Head of Research for Chrisman & Company, Inc., Elena Cates, brings over 20 years experience in the executive search industry. She has extensive experience in developing and executing search strategies that cover various management levels, functions and industries, including Commercial and Consumer Banking, Private Equity and Asset Management.  She has actively conducted research assignments for CEO, CFO, chief audit executives, senior credit and risk positions, as well as senior lending executives.

Prior to joining Chrisman & Company, Inc., Ms. Cates ran her own research consulting firm and was the Director of Research for the Southern California offices of Russell Reynolds Associates from 1989 to 1991. She was responsible for creating and implementing the research and recruiting efforts on all searches originating from the Southern California offices.  From 1985 to 1989, Elena was the Director of Research and a Vice President at A-L Associates in New York.

Ms. Cates received her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She has served on the board of the New York Executive Search Roundtable and was a co-founder and President of the Southern California Executive Search Roundtable.
