Timothy Chrisman

FOUNDING PARTNER

As Founding Partner, Tim Chrisman’s experience spans 40 years in the search profession with a prior 10 years in the financial services industry.  Prior to Chrisman & Company, he was the Senior Vice President of a $2.5 billion bank holding company with functional responsibility for retail banking, human resources, marketing and general administration for the holding company and its subsidiaries.  He served as a director of $5 billion, publicly traded Commercial Capital Bank and Commercial Capital Bancorp, the institution that acquired $2.7 billion Hawthorne Savings, where he was Chairman of the Board (non-executive) from 1995 to 2004.  He also served as Chairman (non-executive), from 2011 to  May 2014, for $11 billion BANC of California, Inc. (NYSE: BANC). As of December 31, 2012, he completed a 10 year term as Director with eight of those years as Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of San Francisco and was also the former Chairman of the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks, the system’s 12-bank trade organization. Additionally,  Mr. Chrisman was a National Director and Vice Chairman of Operation HOPE, Inc., a nonprofit social investment bank and a national provider of financial literacy and economic empowerment programs. He served as Director of the $7 billion Seattle-based holding company HomeStreet, Inc. (NASDAQ: HMST) and its subsidiary HomeStreet Bank from 2014 to 2018; and was Chairman of the Board to the investment banking firm, FIG Partners LLC. He has both graduate and undergraduate degrees from California State University, Fresno.

 

Mr. Chrisman served as a US Marine Corps Sergeant in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968, where he was wounded in action and decorated with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He resides in Los Angeles and has two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
